I’m a software designer with a background in social science and visual design. In my recent projects I’ve envisioned a new digital ecosystem for air travel, created a portal to manage ecommerce warranties, designed a platform for audio microposts, imagined a labor sharing system for urban farmers, and more.I turn user needs into clever, beautiful, humane products. I have special interests in the audio modality, transportation, and systems that unite digital and physical space. I’m a graduate from Carnegie Mellon’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute. Stay tuned for new and old projects to be added to this site. Contact me to work together.
I hold a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, where I studied human-computer interaction. My bachelor’s degree is from the Ohio State University, where I studied urban geography and political economy.
I have a wide variety of design experience—I’ve worked as a product designer, newspaper designer, a brand consultant, and a packaging designer for national fast-food chains; I’ve created environmental graphics for new retail concepts and visual identities for political campaigns. I’m also a trained ethnographer with experience running field interviews and user tests.
